Professor Idiong Christopher Idiong began teaching in the University as a Graduate Assistant in 1995 and has has risen through the ranks to a Professor in 2015 all in University of Calabar.
He has taught 10 Undergraduate courses, 9 Postgraduate courses and supervised many B.Sc, MSc. and Ph.D projects. He holds membership in professional associations and societies, such as Nigerian Economic Society, Agricultural Society of Nigeria etc. He has been a recipient of many Academic and Merit awards. Worthy of mention are the NACB award for Best Graduating Student in the Department of Agricultural Economiccs and Extension for 1991/1992 Academic Year and Distinguished Person Award by National Association of Agricultural Students (UCB).
He is an experienced Agricultural Economist who has consulted to so many research and intervention projects across the Country. To his credit are highly rated publications in Books, Journal Articles, Book Chapters and Papers Presented. Majority are open access on this knowledgebase.
He loves Reading, Traveling and Football games. His is blessed with a Wife and beautiful children.
